It’s been a big year for Pendulum here in the U.S. They completed a tour as the main support for Linkin Park, headlined their own tour with Innerpartysystem and released their new album Immersion. We’ve given away their CD and concert tickets so we though that we’d give you readers something else that you can enjoy from the band. TWO lucky readers will win a Pendulum Immerse Yourself Tour t-shirt! The t-shirts are size Men’s Large (sorry, we don’t have any other sizes so you’ll have to shrink them or stretch them to make ‘em fit!)

You wanna win this shirt right? Leave a comment below (not a facebook comment! use the comment box in the bottom of the post) and please have a U.S. mailing address. We’ll pick a winner in about two weeks so be patient. Good luck!

The Northeast is known for it’s horrendous winters, and in the middle of a huge snow storm on February 1st, Linkin Park came rolling into Boston on the “A Thousand Suns” tour.

While the crowd was slimmer for the two supporting acts, Does It Offend You, Yeah? and Pendulum, the weather didn’t stop New Englanders from coming to an almost sold out show at the TD Garden in Boston last night for the main event.

Linkin Park came out to their usual intro “The Requiem” but as of last week they have not been opening with “Wretches and Kings” from their new album A Thousand Suns, a staple opener throughout their whole European tour. They instead opened with the classic Hybrid Theory track “Papercut”, which immediately got all the crowd to their feet.

Frontmen Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington were on point with their vocals, energy, and crowd interaction. Lead guitarist Brad Delson was rocking out with his guitar and his signature snow ball like headphones.

Halfway through the set, the band showed off more of their experimental electronic side with cuts off of their newest album “A Thousand Suns” which largely featured Shinoda on the keys and voice synthesizer.

The band closed their initial set with “One Step Closer” (their first hit single from their debut album Hybrid Theory) and rocked it like it was their first song of the night! After chants for the band filled the arena, the band returned to the stage and delivered a six song encore.

Closing the show with four huge singles in a row “Shadow of the Day”, “New Divide”, “In the End” and “Bleed it Out”, Linkin Park fans surely were not disappointed, myself included.

Electronic three-piece Innerpartysystem – Patrick Nissley (vocals), Jared Piccone (drums), and Kris Barman (synth, guitar) – are set to release their new 6-song EP, Never Be Content, digitally across all platforms on Feb 22, 2011, and physically on March 29, 2011, on Red Bull Records. Never Be Content, which introduces an expanded electronic soundscape for the band, was recorded at their home studio in Pennsylvania, as well as Hoboken, NJ, Los Angeles and London. While the trio recorded and produced most of the tracks themselves, renowned producer Richard X (MIA, Kelis, Annie, Rachel Stevens) contributed additional production and mixing.

The songs on Never Be Content, born near the end of the band’s extensive touring behind their 2008 self-titled debut, reflect an organic shift in their creative output. The punk rock edge of their earlier music falls into the background in this new set of songs and at the forefront is a compelling brand of electronic dance music. Self-described gearheads with an infatuation for synthesizing sounds, Innerpartysystem took off their headphones just long enough to decide on the EP’s title. Beyond that, they could be found with headphones firmly planted against their ears, building, re-tooling, layering, and tinkering with the new songs that have now come to mark an exciting evolution for the band.

Drawing inspiration from genres that span classic rock to drum and bass to smooth jazz to metal is just a run-of the-mill day for this band. With an appealing pop sensibility and a finely-tuned songcraft, Never Be Content, which includes a new edit of current single “American Trash,” runs the gambit from the melodic, bubbling “Squid” to the evocative and dance-floor friendly “Not Getting Any Better” to the crunchy, moody synths of “Money.” With a producer’s mindset and a songwriter’s pen, Innerpartysystem dove into discovering, creating and manipulating a new universe of musical influences, sonic textures and programming techniques. The result is an EP rich with innovation and originality.

2011 once again finds Innerpartysystem on the road this February for support dates with seminal Australian band Pendulum and four newly announced headlining dates in Pittsburgh, Columbus, Chicago and Kansas City, as well as a stop at this year’s SXSW with more dates to be announced soon. Innerpartysystem spent the better part of 2010 on tour, which included headlining dates and DJ sets, a support slot on the Nylon Fall Music Tour, an epic set at this year’s Voodoo Fest and a series of holiday radio shows for KTCL Denver, X96 Salt Lake and KRBZ Kansas City alongside My Chemical Romance, 3OH!3 and OK Go. A mind-blowing display of the most cutting-edge and sophisticated DIY electronic music that you’ve heard in years, the band hand-manipulates loops and effects live on stage with incredible precision and brilliant improvisation; their use of live drums and an out-of-this-world, hand-programmed light show create a riveting, mesmerizing live set.

Not just a band who can produce dance beats, Innerpartysystem’s fresh approach to electronic music, both in recording and performing techniques, only scratches the surface of their vast artistic palette which includes both the aural and visual. Their passion for visual, interactive art is a vital part of their creative aesthetic, like the piece of “trash art” – an impressive 8’ x 12’ American flag constructed solely of trash – they created for a contest in Denver where their 2010 single “American Trash” is currently the #3 best-selling alternative track. While the trio spends much of their time on the road, they’ve found time – between the hotels, buses and venues – to become in-demand remixers for the likes of Katy Perry, Keane, The Killers, 30 Seconds To Mars, Cobra Starship and more.

It’s been a steady climb for group since the release of their 2007 EP, The Download EP . Innerpartysystem caught the attention of renowned producers including Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, NIN, Jesus & Mary Chain, the Killers), Stuart Price (Madonna, New Order, Seal), Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Massive Attack, Bjork, Madonna), Joel Hamilton (Book of Knots, Sparklehorse, Blue Tip), and Mark Needham (The Killers, Pete Yorn), all of whom contributed to the band’s self-titled debut album, released in 2008 on Island Def Jam. Since then, the band has toured non-stop, sharing the stage with everyone from Nine Inch Nails to 3OH!3. They’ve had sold out headlining tours in the US and UK, and made a name for themselves at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Vans’ Warped Tour, Projekt Revolution (Europe), SXSW, Give It A Name (Europe), and Soundwave (Australia). They recently signed to Red Bull Records.

Electronic three-piece Innerpartysystem will be joining the seminal Australian band Pendulum on the road this February for a run of North American support dates, kicking off on February 5 at New York City’s Irving Plaza. The band will be playing fan favorites as well as brand new songs from their forthcoming EP, entitled Never Be Content, due for release in early 2011 on Red Bull Records. This coast-to-coast tour will include stops in Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles before wrapping in Las Vegas at the House of Blues on February 26. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 17th.

Innerpartysystem – Patrick Nissley (vocals), Jarred Piccone (drums), and Kris Barman (synth, guitar) – has been on the road for the better part of 2010 with their mind-blowing live show, a cutting-edge display of the most innovative and sophisticated DIY electro rock that you’ve heard in years. With loops and effects hand-manipulated live on stage with both incredible precision and genius improvisation, live drums and an out-of-this-world hand-programmed light show enhance every moment of the live set. Not just a band who can produce dance beats, Innerpartysystem’s fresh approach to electronic music, both in recording and performing techniques, only scratches the surface of the vast artistic palette that this band possesses. Their passion for visual art has also found its way into their creative process, like the piece of “trash art” they recently created
for a contest in Denver where their current single “American Trash” is the #3 best-selling alt track. The impressive 8’ x 12’ American flag made solely from trash went home with one adoring fan after the band’s recent KTCL Denver holiday radio show.

“American Trash,” showcasing the band’s irresistible blend of amped-up electro, hard-hitting rock and memorable hooks, has been quickly gaining traction at modern and alt rock radio stations across the country, including KRBZ Kansas City, X96 Salt Lake, KPNT St. Louis and the influential KTCL Denver, where it has been the #1 most requested song for the past 3 months. “American Trash” is streaming here.

The band most recently played an epic set at this year’s Voodoo Fest and completed a series of holiday radio shows for KTCL Denver, X96 Salt Lake and KRBZ Kansas City alongside My Chemical Romance, 3OH!3 and OK Go.

Innerpartysystem’s Jared Piccone says of the tour, “Pendulum?!? Are you kidding me?!? That was our first reaction when we heard the news that we would be sharing a stage with one of our biggest influences. We’ve been listening to Pendulum for years. I can remember setting up turntables in our living room in our first band house, in Mohnton, PA, spinning “Breakbeat Kaos” vinyls with the guys all night long. A year or so after IPS was formed, we noticed Pendulum was no longer just a DJ outfit, and had formed into a full band. Since then we have thought the pairing of our two bands makes beyond sense. This is the most anticipated tour for IPS since its inception. February can’t come soon enough.”

Innerpartysystem has been steadily building a loyal fanbase since their debut album was released in 2008. Since then, they have made a name for themselves on the U.S. and UK festival circuit, sold out headlining tours in the US and overseas and have shared a stage with everyone from Nine Inch Nails to 3OH!3. They are also sought-after remixers, providing remixes for the likes of Katy Perry, Keane, The Killers, 30 Seconds To Mars, Cobra Starship and more.

The UK by way of Australia band Pendulum have set their new album Immersion for a January 25th US release and will be supporting it with both a US arena tour as main support for Linkin Park and their newly added series of headlining dates. Nominated by Q Magazine as the “Best Live Act,” Pendulum played to a sold-out Club Nokia in LA on their last sold-out headlining tour and is widely known as “THE MUST SEE” festival act having played headline slots at festivals around the world. With TV performances on Last Call with Carson Daly and Jimmy Kimmel Live and a Top 40 alternative commercial radio hit “Propane Nightmares” from their sophomore album In Silico, Pendulum are quickly turning US audiences on to their unique blend of electro rock.

The UK based phenomenon Pendulum exploded onto the UK charts this year with their third full-length studio album Immersion – debuting at #1. The album will be getting its US release on January 25th on Ear Storm/Atlantic Records and to coincide, the band will be kicking off a massive US tour as main support for Linkin Park on January 20th. This US trek comes on the heels of an already sold-out headlining UK Arena tour that will include the band’s second Wembley Area show this year. This tour will give US fans a chance to catch these trailblazing electro rockers when they bring their head crushing new opus live to arenas across the US including NYC’s legendary Madison Square Garden.

Immersion is the band’s highest debuting album to date, claiming the #1 spot by outselling their nearest competitor Glee the Music, Vol. 3 by the cast of GLEE! by almost 14,000 records. The release also paved the way for Pendulum’s highest-ever charting single “Watercolour” which hit #4 on the UK charts with over 140,000 sold to date and the single “Witchcraft” will be the first official single to be released in the US – due out December 14th along with three remixes. On this album Pendulum worked with world renowned artists to give their amalgam of rock, metal, and electronic drum ‘n’ bass new angles. They teamed up with metal heroes In Flames on the track “Self VS. Self,” worked with prog rocker Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree on “The Fountain” and collaborated with the revered Liam Howlett of The Prodigy on “Immunize.”

The UK by way of Australia band has received international acclaim and sold over a million albums worldwide with both their debut and sophomore albums going platinum in the UK. Nominated by Q Magazine as the “Best Live Act,” Pendulum is widely known and acknowledged as the “MUST SEE” festival act having played headline slots at festivals around the world from Glastonbury (England) to Big Day Out (Australia) to Summer Sonic (Japan).

US fans have already been initiated to Pendulum’s riveting live show as the band has completed two sold out headlining tours of the US. Their last Stateside tour included a sold out Club Nokia (2300 capacity) show in Los Angeles and the band has rocked crowds at Coachella, SXSW and Miami’s Ultra Music Festival where they were one of the headliners.

In addition to selling out venues across the US, Pendulum made fans at radio and in the media with the release of their last album and US debut In Silico. The first single, “Propane Nightmares,” became a Top 40 alternative commercial radio hit and SPIN called them “…a much-needed in-your-face assault that’s equal parts Nine Inch Nails industrialism, Linkin Park screech, and thick drum and bass groove…,” Billboard described their music as a “…breakneck brand of aural dynamite…” and the LA Times wrote, “The electro-rock band evokes the Prodigy’s sense of screaming, face-crushing bombast with savvy beats straight off the contemporary low-end-heavy zeitgeist.” Pendulum also found a fan in Carson Daly who kicked off his POV series on Last Call with Carson Daly with an incredible live performance shot at their sold out Mayan Theatre show in LA and this national late night TV debut was quickly followed up with a live performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

In an effort to continue to break the barriers as music innovators, earlier this year Pendulum not only released the world’s FIRST EVER 360-degree interactive music video for their song “Salt In The Wounds” but they’ve also added a new drummer to their lineup: world renowned electronic drummer Kevin Sawka aka KJ Sawka from Seattle, WA.

With the release of Immersion and a massive US arena tour with Linkin Park, Pendulum are ready to take on the USA and will follow their Linkin Park dates with their own headline shows on the West Coast. These dates to be announced shortly.
