In its two years, the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival has set the standard for live music in Northern California. The 2010 lineup will once again bring unmatched creative programming that showcases the top artists in a large variety of scenes, including rock, pop, world music, soul, hip-hop and electronic. Like the first two years, major national headliners such as Kings of Leon, Furthur Featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, The Strokes, My Morning Jacket, Phoenix, Social Distortion, Levon Helm and Al Green, will perform alongside the best emerging artists in the world, including Gogol Bordello, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Janelle Monáe, Tokyo Police Club, The Temper Trap, Pretty Lights, Dawes and more. The complete announced lineup is listed below. More acts will be announced soon.

Saturday’s headliners Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, both members of the Grateful Dead, played Golden Gate Park frequently in the late 60′s and early 70′s. Furthur’s headlining slot will mark the first time that Phil Lesh and Bob Weir will perform together again in the Park since Bill Graham’s memorial tribute, ‘Love, Laughter and Music’ in 1991. After three years of non-stop touring off their latest and hugely successful album, Grammy Award-winning band Kings of Leon will play on Sunday evening in Golden Gate Park for the first time ever.

From its inception, Outside Lands has celebrated the four pillars of Bay Area culture – music, food, wine and technology. There is no other festival that honors its home city to such an extent, making it one of the most unique and enjoyable events in the country. The eclectic nature of the music programming extends to the approach festival organizers take to bringing under one “roof” the best in wine and food the region has to offer. At no other festival can you dine on the delicacies of the city’s most famous top-tiered restaurants while sampling some of the best wine in the world.

Outside Lands is thrilled to have Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications as a partner for the 2010 event.
