It’s not enough that Mick Jagger had to host the season finale of SNL but when it was announced that Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, Jeff Beck, Nikolai from the Strokes would be a part of Mick’s band, you’d think that you’d have the most action packed SNL ever. But wait, what about the SNL Digital Short? Would we see members of all the bands in there? NOPE! We’d get a sequel to Lazy Sunday!

Watch it below:

What would Mick Jagger perform with Arcade Fire and Nikolai Fraiture of the Strokes? Oh, just a little diddy from almost 50 years ago, “The Last Time”. Enjoy it below:

How do you follow up Mick on stage with Arcade Fire? You bring in the Foo Fighters! Jagger, Grohl and company performed a medley of “19th Nervous Breakdown” and “It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll (But I Like It)”.

Watch it below:

Mick Jagger professed his love for the blues and performed a new song with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck.

Check it out:

It finally had to happen. Cast member Kristen Wiig is leaving the show. Arcade Fire and the SNL band helped send her off with the Rolling Stones’s “She’s Like A Rainbow” and “Ruby Tuesday.” Watch it below. Kristen, you will be missed!

Gotye will make his Saturday Night Live debut as the musical guest on Saturday, April 14th, airing on NBC at 11:30 PM EST. The Australian native will be playing songs off his critically acclaimed Making Mirrors, released earlier this year. The show will be hosted by Academy Award-nominee Josh Brolin.

Gotye first caught American ears with platinum-certified single “Somebody That I Used To Know” which has been in the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks, racked up over 119 million views on YouTube and currently holds a spot in the iTunes Top 10 and the Billboard Top 40. Watch the video HERE.

Gotye kicks off his completely sold-out Spring tour this week, culminating in his first US festival appearance at Coachella. Check www.gotye.com for full dates.

Praise for Making Mirrors:

“Making Mirrors finds Gotye making the most of a canny notion: that the pop sounds of the ’80s didn’t fall out of fashion so much as fall victim to dated production. By freshening up the feel but maintaining the drama, he lands on a batch of songs timeless enough to survive the next 30 years.” –NPR

“…Ingenious, oddly touching, refreshingly emphatic bedroom pop.” –Rolling Stone
“…pop magician.”-The New Yorker

“…The songs have a way of warping old ideas into something fascinating.”- LA Times
