“Along with AEG Live, Right Arm is beyond excited to unleash the Carolina Rebellion lineup,” says Gary Spivack, co-executive producerof the festival for Right Arm Entertainment. “Like last year, it was our goal to make sure the 2012 lineup was stacked from top to bottom. Three stages of non-stop rock ‘n roll and a Friday night party to kick it all off…The ultimate rock festival in the Carolinas. Let the Rebellion begin!”

General Admission tickets for Carolina Rebellion go on sale to the public on Friday, February 17 at 10am EST at www.carolinarebellion.com and www.ticketmaster.com. Based on 2011 attendee feedback, Carolina Rebellion organizers have implemented various upgrades and vast venue improvements to provide a premier concert experience at the multi-stage rock festival. The new centrally-located site provides plenty of space to expand, including more food and beverage stands, merchandise stands, restrooms and parking, and also offers more traffic routes to and from the event.

“When our fans speak, we listen,” commented Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the festival for AEG Live. “We personally responded to every person who sent us comments, and because of that important feedback, our motto this year is ‘Let’s double it!’ Double the number of entrance points into the festival, double the number of concession stands, double the number of merchandise stands, and double the number of locations for free water…We’re taking the steps to make Carolina Rebellion an upgraded experience for everyone.”

In addition, all ticket prices will include parking to ensure quicker access to the parking areas, and earlier entry into the parking areas and will be allowed, along with earlier door times, to better alleviate the traffic and lines. The inclusion of the new Camping Packages will encourage fans to arrive on Friday starting at 10am and stay until Noon on Sunday, thereby relieving traffic congestion on Saturday.

Further improvements to amenities include: a larger box office area for will call pickup, shade locations in public areas and the Hangover Recovery VIP Lounge area inside the festival grounds to allow those with VIP Lounge tickets to have a special place to enjoy the event.

“Our sponsors mean as much to us as our fans do,” added Litvag. “And without the support of music-centric companies like Monster Energy, who present our two main stages at Rebellion, we couldn’t put a festival of this size and scope on for the people.”

Carolina Rebellion is also proud to be sponsored by Jägermeister, Hangover Recovery, and f.y.e. – for your entertainment (which will be on site selling CDs and DVDs and will host band autograph signings throughout the festival day). Carolina Rebellion is produced by Right Arm Entertainment and AEG Live, the same team that produces the highly successful Rock On The Range in Columbus, OH. Tickets for the 2011 inaugural Carolina Rebellion sold out more than one month in advance and attendance exceeded 30,000.

Rockingham Speedway is located at 2152 N US HWY 1, Rockingham, NC, less than two hours from Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, Columbia and Greensboro.

The 2012 Avalanche Tour celebrates Shinedown’s much-anticipated new album, “AMARYLLIS,” which arrives in stores and at all digital retailers on March 27th. The album is highlighted by the explosive new single, “Bully,” which is available now at all DSPs. Shinedown’s first new music since all six singles from 2008’s “THE SOUND OF MADNESS” ascended to #1 at Rock radio, the track is already a top 10 sensation at Rock radio outlets nationwide after having immediately been declared the format’s #1 Most Added. A companion video clip for “Bully” is currently in pre-production, while an official lyric video is streaming now at Shinedown’s official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/user/ShinedownTV.

Currently poised to begin a major European tour, Shinedown will herald the release of “AMARYLLIS” with a visit to ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! Slated for Monday, March 26th, the appearance will see Shinedown performing “Bully” live for the first time on national television on the show’s outdoor stage (check local listings).

“AMARYLLIS” sees Shinedown joining forces once more with multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day), who previously collaborated with the band on the record-breaking “THE SOUND OF MADNESS.” Recorded at Cavallo’s Lightning Sound studios outside of Los Angeles and a pair of Hollywood landmarks, Ocean Way Recording and Capitol Studios, the album was recently named among “This Year’s Best Bets” by Billboard, which noted the inventive addition of synths, a 27-piece orchestra, and a 10-piece horn section to the band’s powerful hard rock.

“I’ve always seen Shinedown as its own entity,” says Shinedown frontman Brent Smith, “this living thing that’s been growing and developing and evolving over the past 10 years. During the recording, the vision of what Shinedown is and where it’s going became completely clear. ‘AMARYLLIS’ is the manifestation of that vision, the centerpiece of what Shinedown is. It reflects on everything we’ve done and where we’re heading. It’s a message of empowerment, perseverance, and inspiration that I think speaks to fans that have been with us since the beginning as well as those who are just learning about who we are and what we’re about. I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”

Shinedown will reveal the “AMARYLLIS” cover art with an interactive fan experience beginning on January 30th at www.shinedown.com/amaryllis. In addition, album pre-orders will be available in a variety of bundles. A pair of packages will be on offer, comprising an array of exclusive extras: the “Deluxe Early Entry Bundle” features one General Admission ticket to the 2012 Avalanche Tour show of the customer’s choice with early entry, while the limited edition “Premium Meet & Greet Bundle” will include one General Admission ticket to the 2012 Avalanche Tour show of the customer’s choice, admission to a very special meet-and-greet with the band, and a screen-printed poster signed and numbered by Shinedown themselves. Both bundles include a CD copy of “AMARYLLIS,” a Shinedown rubber bracelet and T-shirt, one-year membership (or renewal) in the Shinedown Nation Fan Club, a full album stream one week before street date, and an instant MP3 download of “Bully.”

“THE SOUND OF MADNESS” proved Shinedown’s mainstream breakthrough, debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200 before spending 120 consecutive weeks on the chart. The album made rock music history, with each of its six singles reaching #1 on the airplay rankings. Among them are such hits as “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom),” “Devour,” “The Sound of Madness,” “The Crow and The Butterfly,” the gold certified “If You Only Knew,” and the double-platinum certified crossover smash, “Second Chance“ – all of which rose to the top of the airplay charts, marking a genuinely stunning streak of rock radio classics.
Shinedown supported “THE SOUND OF MADNESS” with a wide range of live TV appearances, including performances on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Today Show, CBS’ The Early Show, and the 2010 NHL Awards show. In 2009, the band received an American Music Award nomination for “Best Alternative Rock Band.”

Shinedown’s unprecedented ascendancy over multi-format rock radio initially began with their RIAA platinum certified 2003 debut “LEAVE A WHISPER” and its gold certified 2005 follow-up, “US AND THEM.” Together, both albums yielded seven consecutive top 5 radio hits, including “Fly From the Inside,” “45,” “Simple Man,” “Burning Bright,” “Heroes,” “I Dare You,” and of course, the #1 blockbuster, “Save Me,” which dominated Active Rock radio for a remarkable 12 successive weeks.

Atlantic recording group Shinedown has begun work on their hugely anticipated fourth studio album. The multi-platinum rock band will be joined at Hollywood’s famed Ocean Way Recording by multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day), who previously collaborated with the band on their RIAA platinum certified third album, “THE SOUND OF MADNESS.”

“We are truly honored to be working with the legendary Rob Cavallo again,” says Shinedown frontman Brent Smith. “He brings the absolute best out of us and our songs. To say we are emotionally charged to start recording the new album would be a huge understatement. Everyone hold on tight, this is going to be intense!”

“One of the things that sets Shinedown apart from most other rock bands is their songwriting,” says Cavallo. “There’s an honesty and passion in it that’s undeniable. After working with them on ‘THE SOUND OF MADNESS,’ I knew that they would deliver, but they’ve even surpassed my high expectations with the songs they’ve brought to the table this time around. I can’t wait to get started.”

For the second consecutive year The ONE LOVE FOR CHI Organization along with the Slidebar of Downtown Fullerton will host a two-night benefit event coinciding with the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Convention Weekend in Southern California.

Since November 2008, bassist of modern rock pioneers DEFTONES, Chi Cheng, has remained hospitalized in what doctors have called a “minimally conscious” state. Since the accident, the One Love for Chi organization has banded together to help raise funds to meet the growing costs of Cheng’s medical bills. Rooted in a network of musicians all closely connected with Chi throughout his prolific career, this second annual benefit pulls together some of music’s biggest names, all to perform ‘reach-out-and-touch-em’ intimate performances, all in Cheng’s name.

In 2010, One Love for Chi held the first benefit at Slidebar during NAMM weekend and created a truly memorable event. Members of Korn, Suicide Silence, Dream Theater, Guns N’ Roses, Megadeth, Atreyu, and Cypress Hill were just some of the star-studded attendees who all participated in impromptu performances in a truly intimate venue. Part industry event, part concert, all celebration, the event proved a sweeping success and has become the catalyst for an annual event dedicated to the ongoing recovery of Chi Cheng.

Gearing up for the 2011 installment of the benefit, the bigger and better two-night engagement will feature performances from P.O.D., Dredg, Brian “HEAD’ Welch, Imani of The Pharcyde, Philm (featuring Dave Lombardo of SLAYER), The Accident Experiment, Southtown Generals, Eyes Set To Kill, Anew Revolution, and will be capped off by an all-star jam session featuring members of Anthrax, Atreyu, Papa Roach, Lit, Shinedown, and many more in attendance. The organic collaboration remains rooted in a sincere love for Chi Cheng and a genuine desire to do something to aid in his recovery.

A night of friends connected through music – everyone, both public and industry are invited to join in the festivities. To gain access into the venue to see the performances however, ONELOVEFORCHI.com is hosting an online auction via EBAY, with ALL proceeds going directly to Chi’s recovery. Packages of two (2) and four (4) tickets will be available.
