Regina Spektor made her SNL debut tonight as she performed “Eet” and “The Calculation” off of her album Far. Check it out inside.
Lady GaGa was on Saturday Night Live tonight and performed “Paparazzi” and a medley of “Disco Stick/Bad Romance/Poker Face”/Ode to NYC. For the second performance, Lady GaGa cut short “Disco Stick” and sat down on the piano and revealed an earnest side of her that just might ease your dislike/hatred of her. The performance might’ve been more effective if it didn’t remind me of a metal hula hoop or some torture device from the Saw movies. Anyways, check out the …
Green Day was on Saturday Night Live tonight 5/16. They played “Know Your Enemy” and “21 Guns.” You can watch the videos inside.
The Lonely Island performed “I’m On A Boat” (Yeah!) on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night (5/12). It’s the first time that I’ve seen a music performance that had that much swearing on these late night tv shows. It’s not that I minded it, it was just something different. Check it out inside.
Green Day will be playing the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 16th (hosted by Will Ferrell). This makes it even more likely that the band will be playing Bowery Ballroom in NYC two nights later as SNL is broadcast live from New York (wow that unintentionally sounded like the cheesy opening on the show).
Green Day also announced yesterday a full summer tour starting July 3rd in Seattle, WA and be wrapping up on August 26th with two shows in Los Angeles. The tour will be in support of “21st Century Breakdown” (May 15th Reprise Records), their first album in over four years. Check out the dates inside.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs performed “Zero” and “Maps” on SNL on 4/11. Check out the videos inside.
TV On The Radio have finally sounded off on their SNL performance a few weeks ago where almost everyone thought the sound mix was awful. Talking to the Canadian Press, Kyp Malone said “In the room, it sounded fine to us. We had a really good time, and it felt really good. Then we came offstage and immediately started getting texts about how (terrible) the sound was.”
Malone said that their sound engineer couldn’t work their performances because he’s …
TV On the Radio were the musical guests on Saturday Night Live last night. Bradley Cooper was the host and the show was surprisingly funny considering the back to back suckfests with Rosario Dawson and Steve Martin. Anyways, click on the post to check out the videos of TVOTR playing “Golden Age” and “Dancing Choose”
Because we here at The Audio Perv LOVE Neil Patrick Harris and all his work (and we know how much you do as well), we decided to post up another clip of NPH on SNL. To follow up Frost/Nixon, the makers of the film have rushed a sequel called Frost/Other People where Frost (Neil Patrick Harris) interviews David Bowie, Rerun and a few other people. Enjoy the clip below:
The Killers were on Saturday Night Live yesterday and they played “Human” and “Spaceman” off of their new album Day & Age. Check out the videos here:
