The All-American Rejects have spent the last year writing new material and are ready to hit the studio to record their fourth studio album! Over the last year, the Rejects’ lead singer, Tyson Ritter, has also spent a great deal of time on his charity, Don’t Hate on Haiti. With the band heading into the studio, Tyson has dreamed up a contest as a way to help raise money for the charity. To promote the Don’t Hate On Haiti Contest, Tyson took to the blog on The All-American Rejects newly remodeled official website, with a video and a letter that goes a little something like this:

“So, we have been writing relentlessly for the last year and are hitting the studio to lay down the tracks for our fourth record soon. My last year has been devoted to music and my charity, donthateonhaiti.org. So far, we have donated about $25,000 to Charity:Water, a true not-for-profit organization that builds clean water projects across the world. Every $5,000 we generate builds a clean water well in Haiti.

To coincide with our going into the studio the band and I have decided to have a contest to help maximize our efforts to generate cash for the cause. So here’s the idea:

Whoever raises the most money for http://donthateonhaiti.org by April 1st of this year will win the following sweet ass prizes.

1. A one-on-one skype session with you and the band in the studio to talk about tunes, the charity, what you ate for lunch, whatever you want!

2. A guitar signed by the band

3. A Don’t Hate on Haiti shirt signed by the band

All you have to do to win is spread the love and raise as much dough as you can. Once we have all the monies counted and collected, we will announce the winner on all our social networking outlets.

Send all contributions to:

c/o Don’t Hate On Haiti
P.O. Box 4084
Santa Monica, CA 90411

Attach your contact information so we can reach you if you’re the lucky winner!!

Good Luck!!!

Tyson Ritter

aar3350 "Gives You Hell," the lead single off of The All-American Rejects' current album, When the World Comes Down, has officially been named the #1 Most Played Song of 2009 on Billboard’s Top 40 Chart, edging out the competition that included Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida and Taylor Swift.

“We are thrilled that we have been played relentlessly over the past year, hopefully people aren’t too sick of us by now,” said Rejects front man Tyson Ritter. “But truly, we have the best fans in the world. It’s because of them that this band is where we are. They are the ones who kept our song on the charts and on the radio for so long and we thank them.”

"Gives You Hell" spent four weeks at #1 on the Top 40 charts making it the group’s first #1 song on Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40 Tracks charts. The song was also their first to break into the top five on Billboard’s Hot 100 and stayed in the Billboard top 10 for over 13 weeks. With over 3.3 million copies in digital sales alone, these stats make “Gives You Hell” the band’s most successful single to date.

The successes of 2009 have paved the way for an exciting 2010 with The All-American Rejects. The band has locked in major appearances such as performing at this year’s Winter Olympics at the Whistler Medals Plaza, a high profile performance for Direct TV at Super Bowl XLIV and a Direct TV special set to air in February, with more exciting news and details to be announced.

The multi-platinum rockers first scored commercial success with the single, “Swing Swing” from their self-titled long play debut, The All-American Rejects. The album went on to sell over one million records and was certified platinum. They toured tirelessly and in July 2005, presented their fans with, Move Along. The second album produced the smash hits, “Dirty Little Secret,” “It Ends Tonight,” and the LP’s inspiring anthemic title track. “Dirty Little Secret,” “Move Along” and “It Ends Tonight” all reached top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and went double platinum as did the overall album.

The band is currently on a whirlwind tour promoting their third studio album. For more information and current tour dates, check out www.allamericanrejects.com

CBS Records will release a specially produced soundtrack for the hit television series 90210 on Tuesday, October 13. Soundtrack 90210 features 14 brand new tracks from some of music’s biggest names, including Adele with The Raconteurs, N.E.R.D. featuring Santigold, JET, Anberlin, MuteMath, Owl City, OK Go and Parachute, all set for placement in 90210 episodes during the 2009 – 2010 season.

The last episode of 90210, “To Sext Or Not To Sext” featured a brand new song from OK Go, “I Want You So Bad,” which marked the first placement in an episode of a song from the forthcoming soundtrack.

90210 executive producer Rebecca Sinclair and music supervisor Scott Vener listened to dozens of submitted tracks before choosing the ones best suited for the show’s upcoming storylines. Soundtrack 90210 stands apart from television show soundtrack which merely compile a selection of songs that were heard in a series’ previous episodes. Instead, this collection features all brand new and previously unreleased tracks that will be integrated into upcoming episodes and make Soundtrack 90210 a true representation of the show’s music sensibilities throughout the current season.

As Sinclair explains, “The music that we are using this season on 90210 reflects the show; it’s fresh, eclectic, passionate and fun. I’m thrilled with the wonderful artists who have given us all these great songs and excited to share the soundtrack of the show with everybody.”

90210 airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. / 7 p.m. central on The CW.

The complete track listing for Soundtrack 90210 is as follows:
