The Stepkids kick off their fall tour tonight with the Horrors at Venue in Vancouver, BC. The Connecticut trio (Tim Walsh, Jeff Gitelman and Dan Edinberg) will be touring in support of their debut self-titled album out September 27 via Stones Throw Records. I will admit that I judged the ‘book by its cover’ regarding the British quintet The Horrors. Faris Badwan (vocals), Joshua Hayward (guitar), Tom Cowan (synths), Rhys Webb (bass), Joseph Spurgeon (drums), initially turned me off with their gothic fashion sense. The Horrors’ New Album Skying Streaming In Full, Premiere “Still Life” Video

August 9th may be the date The Horrors new album, Skying, is officially out in the US, but the band has generously made it available to stream this week at their website http://www.thehorrors.co.uk/ just in time for you to plan music for your next road trip! The Horrors Announce Fall Tour Dates

The Horrors are pleased to announce a US tour this Fall in support of their newest release, Skying, out August 9th on XL Recordings. The tour, starting September 7th, will take the band from the west coast through to the East, ending in NYC on October 4th at Webster Hall. They’ll also take part in this year’s ATP Festival at Asbury Park on October 1st. Tickets go on sale weekend of June 17th.

The lineup for Coachella was announced today and it’s.. ehhh. The three main headliners are Paul McCartney, The Killers and The Cure. Throw in Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand, Amy Winehouse, TV On The Radio and Lupe Fiasco and you have a pretty eclective lineup for the weekend.
