Bruce Springsteen returned to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for the final night of Bruce Springsteen Week (Springsteen and the E Street Band also performed on Monday night)

Springsteen and Fallon (once again impersonating Neil Young) covered LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It.” Following the performance, Bruce told Fallon a story about how he and Steven Van Zandt were denied entry into Disney and discussed Bruce’s various hairstyles and outfits throughout his career.

Then the Boss and the E Street Band performed new songs “Death To My Hometown” and “Jack Of All Trades” both with Tom Morello. The Roots would then join the Boss, Morello and the E Street Band to perform “The E Street Shuffle.”

All Tomorrow’s Parties will be returning to Asbury Park, New Jersey with a new I’ll Be Your Mirror event, the Saturday night of which will be headlined by The Afghan Whigs (who have reunited after a 13 year hiatus) and curated by their frontman Greg Dulli. Formed in 1986, the bands career from then until 2001 saw them release six critically acclaimed albums during their career. Fusing classic rock with grunge-era distortion and a heavy soul influence, The Afghan Whigs were one of the most renowned live bands of their time and ATP is excited to be a part of this long awaited reformation.

I’ll Be Your Mirror will also feature Grammy Award winner LOUIS C.K. (handpicked by Greg Dulli) who will be making a rare festival appearance, the fantastic THE ROOTS, JOSE GONZALEZ, a show from the reformed THE MAKE-UP and many others, see below for full line-up confirmed so far.

After previous years in upstate New York, ATP moved to the iconic Asbury Park waterfront in 2011 for a hugely successful I’ll Be Your Mirror event co-curated and headlined by Portishead, and we are very happy to return to this very special location in September. The Convention Hall has seen the likes of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Rolling Stones grace its stage and the Paramount Theatre has welcomed stars such as Tony Bennett who often insists on playing a song with all the electrics turned off to demonstrate the amazing acoustics of the room. Once again the ATP experience will be taking over the boardwalk, with the main shows taking place at the Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre, and other events happening at the Berkeley hotel (former home of Johnny Cash).

As well as the live music line-up of 35+ acts across the weekend, Friday will feature a Comedy stage, and we’re very pleased to announce that our friends at The Criterion Collection will return to run the Cinema across the weekend. All three days feature DJs and other activities to be confirmed in the months ahead. Performances take place indoors with great soundsystems, so you have no need to worry about the weather, and Asbury Park is easily accessible via public transport from nearby cities (see below for details).

Tickets go on sale this Monday 27 February at 10am EST via
3 Day Passes are priced at $199 for the weekend, until March 27 when any remaining tickets will go up to $249.

Pre-sale Mailing List Members for this event will receive a pre-sale link via email in advance of Monday’s on-sale.

A very limited amount of day tickets will also be available for $75 each (Saturday features The Afghan Whigs, Sunday features The Make-Up.)

The legendary Roots crew’s new studio album undun is out today through Island Def Jam. This release marks their first conceptually-based album and is based on a complex youth who struggles to define himself within a troubled inner city milieu and dies in the process. The album’s first single “Make My” featuring Big K.R.I.T was released November 1st oniTunes.

undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford’s internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out ‘on the corner’. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented–postmortem–and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun

The Roots are set to debut a new App on December 1st as a companion piece to their new album undun (Island Def Jam), out December 6th. Through the use of photos, lyrics, a series of interviews and music video vignettes, the app provides an immersive experience that elucidates the life and times of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999), whom the album is based, a complex youth who struggles to definite himself within a troubled inner city milieu and dies in the process.

undun marks the first conceptually- based album from The Roots and quickly reaffirms the creativity of the outfit that are notorious for pushing the envelope. The album’s first single “Make My” featuring Big K.R.I.T. was released November 1st on iTunes which Billboard praised, “the musicality of the veteran group shines bright.” Through the use and emotives and Redford Steven’s internal dialogues, the album is an existential re-telling of his short life, seeking to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out ‘on the corner’. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented—postmortem—and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun.
