The Script–Dublin, Ireland’s chart-topping hit-makers, step up to the podium with their Olympic sized new single, “Hall Of Fame,” featuring global superstar will.i.am, off of their forthcoming release, #3, out October 9(th). Penned by the band (Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power), inspirational new single – available August 21(st) – brings the band back to their piano-laden, pop melodiousness, blending a seamless duet with the hip hop lyrical flow of will.i.am. It’s clear The Script have raised the stakes with “Hall of Fame,” declaring “… and the world’s gonna know your name.”

On “Hall of Fame,” Mark Sheehan comments: “We wanted to capture as much emotion in the track’s sound as there is in the lyrics, which are definitely some of the most positive and upbeat we’ve ever written.”

In December of 2011, The Script’s frontman Danny O’Donoghue joined Jessie J, Tom Jones and will.i.am as a judge on BBC’s inaugural season of The Voice UK. Working with will.i.am on “Hall Of Fame,” Danny O’Donoghue says: “We thought it might make a great duet but we wanted to do it line by line, true duet style. It took several months, a headlock and a taxi cab to get Will on the song!”

The Script will make a triumphant return to the road in North America, kicking off their headlining tour on October 9 at New York’s prestigious Radio City Music Hall. Fans can pre-order #3 beginning July 23 at www.myplaydirect.com/the-script and all who pre-order the album will receive a code for early access to tour tickets. The ticket pre-sale period runs from July 24 at 10am to July 26 at 10pm, with the public on sale going live July 27(th).

#3 follows up The Script’s critically acclaimed 2010 Science & Faith album, which rocketed to No. 3 on Billboard’s Top 200 and led to a string of sold out US tour dates in Fall 2011. Science and Faith debuted at #1 in Ireland and the UK. The Script have enjoyed an epic rise to fame following the success of their 2008 self-titled debut album and their massive platinum selling single, “Breakeven.” That single rewrote history on Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs airplay radio chart, taking the #1 spot, where the song completed a record-setting 36 week rise to the summit. Impressively, the band has sold over five million singles in the US, and has played stadium shows with Paul McCartney and their mentors, U2.

Hot off the heels of a notable No. 3 debut for their recent studio album, Science & Faith, and currently touring the U.S. on a string of sold out dates – The Script clearly have no plans to slow down. This fall, the Irish rockers will return stateside for a 31-city headlining tour, kicking things off August 30th in Minneapolis, MN.

Tickets for The Script’s U.S. Fall headlining tour will become available to the public on June 10th beginning at 10AM local time immediately following the band’s performance on NBC’s Today Show Summer Concert Series.

“For The First Time,” the hit single off Science & Faith is approaching Top 10 at Pop Radio and holding the #3 spot at Hot AC, while the video for the single – which debuted at #1 on VH1 around release – is currently in heavy rotation at MTV. The band recently appeared on VH1′s Big Morning Buzz Live show, and participated in VH1′s Best Cruise Ever at the end of April.

The album, which was also released overseas, immediately garnered interest from critics and debuted at #1 in Ireland and the UK. Written and produced by The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue and guitarist Mark Sheehan Science & Faith was recorded in both London and Los Angeles and is once again a testament to what The Script do best; pen emotion-packed songs that contain fluid melodies, haunting hooks and Danny’s soulful vocals riding high over huge, anthemic choruses.

Critics on U.S. soil have followed suit. USA TODAY awarded Science & Faith a stellar review, The New York Times bestowed the album a “critic’s choice review,” while Entertainment Weekly described “the band’s sunny lyrics, tuneful riffs, and build-build explode! – choruses nail a VH1 catnip niche.”

The Script is Danny O’Donoghue (vocals/keys), Mark Sheehan (guitar) and Glen Power (drums).
