At the NME Awards last night, Bassist Mark Stoermer of The Killers confirmed that the band would be a headliner for the V Festival. â€œWe are indeed headlining the V Festival and weâ€™re lucky to be doing it on our third album â€“ things keep getting better for us. We will have the biggest lighting show weâ€™ve ever had â€“ it costs twice as much as our last tour.”
â€œWhen youâ€™re playing big places youâ€™ve got to give something to everyone, including the fans at the back.”
â€œWeâ€™ve become more refined as a live act.â€
â€œThe audience here is more receptive. Rock music is more exciting in the UK â€“ there are more bands making good music and people are more into going to gigs.
â€œMaybe itâ€™s a cultural thing. Music with guitars isnâ€™t that popular in the US, although we still do sell-out shows. Sometimes it feels like going against the grain.â€
