Delivering a pop rock uppercut on its debut full-length album Famous First Words, Britain’s Viva Brother are returning to the U.S. this fall to wow American audiences with “guitar rock that seemed factory-tooled for open-air-festival croon-a-longs,” as SPIN has put it.

The band’s fall tour, which begins on September 2nd, is the third visit to North America for the four young lads from Slough (the setting for the British version of The Office): guitarist/vocalist Lee Newell, guitarist Sam Jackson, bassist Josh Ward, and drummer Frank Colucci. It is also Viva Brother’s first tour since the August 2nd release of their debut full-length for A&M/Octone Famous First Words — a ten-track opus of glittering brevity produced by Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths) that has earned Viva Brother accolades on this side of The Atlantic, including this from the Boston Phoenix: “Famous First Words is bubbling with a celebratory, on-the-piss bloke-rock arrogance rarely seen in the aughts.”

Viva Brother has already appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live!. They spent the summer performing at all the major European festivals including Ibiza Rocks, Isle of White, Glastonbury, Hurricane, and Oxygen as well as Summersonic in Japan. They will also perform at the Leeds and Reading festivals in England in late August before heading the United States.

Here’s what the critics are saying about Viva Brother:

“The band understands the evergreen power of a la la la, the cheap seduction of an ooh ooh… in the spirit of bands who aspire only to rooms much bigger than this one.” —The New York Times of Viva Brother’s show at New York City’s Mercury Lounge in March

Viva Brother “create boastful, anthemic, aggrandizing British pub rock that could make you wonder whether Oasis’s aughts catalogue ever happened.” — The Boston Phoenix

“The choruses are built for Glastonbury chant-along with their memorable melodies. The lyrics reflect a swagger befitting a young band whose cocksure attitude has garnered considerable attention across the Atlantic. … This is about the good times had by young men with guitars.”
— The Washington Post
