Introducing…The Dig (Free “You’re Already Gone” MP3)

If you’ve been going to any shows in NYC lately, surely you’ve heard of The Dig. Someone’s either told you about them, or you heard that they’re on tour with The Editors and The Antlers or that they’re about to go on tour with Portugal. the Man or maybe one of the band members handed you a CD outside Mercury Lounge. Regardless, this indie rock band from New York is creating a pretty big buzz. Their upcoming debut full-length Electric Toys was produced by Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Antony & the Johnsons, The Ramones, Bishop Allen) and if the single “You’re Already Gone” is any indicator, it’s going to be a solid record. This is the catchiest, most intriguing power pop band to emerge out of the no-name pile in some time. Brooklyn’s The Dig has one self-released EP and a growing live following. Even so, they’ll most likely be news to you, the way they were news to me. That’s good news, though, The Dig is fairly crackling with potential.” – Pop Matters
