For those of you who observe, Rosh Hashanah’s a special holiday celebrating the Jewish New Year. This September 8th, you can join in on a special celebration and you don’t have to be Jewish. VH1 Classic will debut “RUSH Hashanah” starting at sundown on Wednesday, September 8 at 7 PM ET/PT for 24-hours straight. Rush-themed programming will include the award-winning VH1 Rock Doc “RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage,” the band’s classic “RUSH In Rio” concert as well as the premieres of Classic Albums: “2112” and Classic Albums: “Moving Pictures” at 9:30 PM ET/PT. There will also be a special Rush themed version “That Metal Show” with hosts Eddie, Don and Jim sitting down with Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. Geddy Lee a.k.a. Gary Lee Weinrib is the son of two Jewish refugees from Poland who were survivors from Nazi concentration camps during World War II. On Thursday September 8th, grab some challah bread and wine and party with Geddy Lee and Rush!
