British cult-icons Kasabian are in the midst of their triumphant return to North America. Despite a five year lapse between tours on this side of the Atlantic, the band is experiencing the sort of raucous crowds that would be expected from a band that regularly tours through these cities. The band’s electric live shows have been keeping fans enthralled from the opening song through to the encore, leaving the crowd hoping that they will not have to wait as long between tours next time around.
The pure energy of their live performance, as shown here in this live video of “Days Are Forgotten” from their NYC show, has become a trademark of the band. As a a result, they were a natural choice for a live concert stream as part of the newly minted partnership between Youtube and Bowery Presents. In case you missed the original performance, or would like to relive it, Bowery Presents has posted select songs from Kasabian’s set as a Youtube Playlist on their channel, and the band has also shared a Photo Gallery from the show taken by the band’s photographer.
Kasabian is touring in support of the release of their latest full length albumVelociraptor!. In preparation for the tour, Sergio has also made a video for “Neon Noon”, the closing track from the album. Sergio had this to say regarding the inspiration for the video. “I was at home turning off Ennio’s night light and I noticed that it was projecting psychedelic images on my shirt, so I decided to shoot a little video for “Neon Noon” using my phone and four mirrors. I hope you enjoy it – Sink Like A A Stone – Sergio x”
